WHAT IS AIR CURTAIN?

The air curtains are the devices that blocks the entrance of negative outdoor air (hot-cold-contaminated air-humidity-dust-insect) into the indoor environment (through horizontal or vertical air flow depending on the installation) by keeping the indoor heated or cooled (in other words, conditioned) air quality and curtaining through blowing air at a certain speed.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF AIR CURTAIN?

The usage purpose of the air curtain is; to save energy by protecting the indoor heated or cooled air, and to act like an invisible door by working effectively to prevent the entrance of outdoor cold or hot, dusty, contaminated air and insects. The air curtain divides both sections by insulating them from each other.

It provides isolation between two sections at maximum level according to the ambient and seasonal conditions. Thus, both acts as a closed door and also eliminates the problems caused by a closed door (customer-entrance-exit etc.).

IN WHERE THE AIR CURTAINS CAN BE USED?

• When environments with different temperatures are wanted to be created,

EFFICIENCY OF AIR CURTAIN 

The purpose of the Air Curtain is to protect the indoor capacity from the outdoor negative effects in clearances where door or curtaining is desired. For this reason, the installation after the correct selection increases the efficiency of the device. The air curtain performs the curtaining by blowing air at a certain speed into the door clearance where it is installed. Thus it provides a strong air flow. This air flow acts as a door that prevents the loss of heat and moisture alone. Air flow at the ground level must be less than 1.5-2.0 m/sec.

AIR CURTAIN INSTALLATION METHODS

Horizontal or vertical installation can be made according to the air curtain necessity and the location of the door. This must be stated during the discovery and ordering.

AGAINST PLASTIC METAL

Industrial plastic has superior anti-corrosion and insulation properties. The durability of the parts has been improved with the low friction effect and special lubrication system on moving parts. The production cost of plastic is quite lower than the metal. Furthermore, plastic has a superior strength/density ratio. (The density of plastic is 4-6 times less compared to metal).
Furthermore, (307 N / mm²) strength of PA-66 CF-40 polyamide can compete with (370 N / mm²) strength of steel. As a result, the plastic parts with this strength are lighter than metal. (3-4 layers) In addition to these, the abrasion resistance of the plastic case ensures a beautiful appearance for a long time. All of these are the properties that are the results of high production technology that you can benefit at a much cheaper price.

SAFETY OF AIR CURTAIN

The pads and electrical heaters of OLEFINI Air Curtains have overheating protection. There are 3 to 6 PTC thermostats that protect each heating element. These thermostats stop working when the temperature is above 65°C.

Industrial plastic deformation starts at 180°C. and plastic protects its structural strength between 110-130°C. Furthermore, when turning the air curtain off, the fan continues to operate until the heater is completely cooled down, this is a delay system that prevents the heater from overheating and damaging the device. S and P series air curtain models have been equipped with a wired, electrical heater (TBEI) that allows quick cooling down (for large surfaced areas). The wired electrical heater never catches fire or overheats even if the power is suddenly turned off.

It ensures extra safety since the device is designed as to have 3 or 6 thermal fuses for each heating element.

OPERATION OF THE DEVICE

All w/o heater (fan radius 100 mm), mini, monoblock case models of OLEFINI have been equipped with control buttons installed on the control panel. Control panel installation on OLEFINI Air Curtains is a very easy process. Without heater (fan radius 120 mm, 133 mm, 160 mm) and all heated units (electrical and water) have been supported with a wall mounted cable controller. All operations that can be performed over cable controller can also be performed over standard remote controller. The user can operate multiple devices with one controller. By connecting the controller to one device and connecting other devices with a simple telephone cable, all can be operated at the same time.
